I get a lot of questions about hardiness zones. In fact, all gardeners have one all-abiding question about any plant they wish to introduce into their growing spaces. "Will it flourish?". The USDA publishes a hardiness zone map with details down to the county of each state. The map is huge! I have scanned the map (see permissions below) keeping all of the detail. No other web-site has this level of detail. You will be able to find exactly what zone you live. The image sizes range from 25-80k so that the county boundaries are clearly visible. To understand the maps completely, please acquaint yourself with the supporting articles of interest. The USDA states that the maps are not intended to use above a certain elevation and are mainly guesstamates for higher elevations. My only intent is to allow folks to see the published USDA hardiness zone maps and the work that they conducted. As any gardener should, any extreme conditions should be made by experience and taken from those with experience.
